Being the story of the Australasian Antarctic Expedition, 1911-1914.  Three foldout maps included in pocket in the second volume.  Blank pages have been removed from the second volume to create space to accommodate these maps.

These are ex-library copies of the first edition.  Both have been completely rebound in leather with textured sides.  Corners and edges of boards are worn and split.  Catalogue numbers to spine, and some damage from where tape has been removed.  Interior pages are worn and embossed unobtrusively with the mark of the Timaru Library. Library cards and slips to FEPs.
